90 Minutes
Your First
Appointment
This is an information-gathering and sharing session with Julie to outline your health history in detail (using the functional medicine approach). Initial nutritional and lifestyle recommendations will be discussed. Additional laboratory testing is usually recommended to provide more information on your current health.
60 Minutes
Your Second
Appointment
This visit is typically scheduled three to four weeks after your first appointment. Julie will discuss your lab results, possibly perform a nutritional exam and provide a personalized plan that includes what may be causing your health problems and an approach to address them. This may also include supplement recommendations (vitamin, minerals, herbs), diet and lifestyle changes, as well as any medications that may be appropriate for your care.
15-60 Minutes
Follow Up
Appointments
These visits are scheduled in accordance with your plan to evaluate progress, review new information and make appropriate adjustments. They may occur at 4 to 8-week intervals or as necessary per your individual needs. A follow up visit is always required for Julie to review new lab results.
15-60 Minutes
Maintenance
Appointments
The need for maintenance visits will vary based on your personal situation. Some healthy people see Julie only once a year for physical exams and screening lab tests. Others, who have multiple complaints, are seen more often based on the severity of their condition. Patients must be seen annually (6 months for controlled substances such as testosterone) to obtain refills for any prescription medications.
24-hour notice for all
Cancellations
You will receive an appointment email reminder 48 hours before your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule please do this within 1 business day (24 hours) of your scheduled appointment time by calling 651-829-3949 or canceling/rescheduling through the PORTAL. Your new patient deposit will be forfeited if the appointment is canceled or rescheduled less than 24-hours before the appointment.
Labs
We have partnered with a variety of traditional and integrative labs to take care of your specific testing needs. Quest Diagnostics, a leading provider of diagnostic information services, is our primary partner. They have several Patient Service Center locations across the Twin Cities area to meet your needs. We also partner with other specialized labs that can perform stool, saliva, urine and blood testing. In many cases these samples may be collected at home and then mailed directly to the lab. Lab results will be securely posted to your patient PORTAL when completed. A follow-up visit with Julie is required for her to review the results with you and incorporate them into your personalized plan. Some lab tests may be eligible to be billed to the patient’s insurer or purchased at a discounted price through Julie Tebben, CNP.
Prescription
Refill Requests
You will be provided enough refills at the time of your consultation to last through the next scheduled consultation. Please schedule follow up visits before the refills expire. Any refill requests without a scheduled follow-up will only be provided for one month. Patients must be seen at least annually (6 months for controlled substances such as testosterone) to obtain refills. Questions regarding prescription medications should be made via the patient PORTAL to protect your privacy.
